Wedding Ceremony Programs

Planning a wedding is no easy feat, and every bride has her share of questions. Interestingly, one of the most common questions I’ve been getting from my brides lately is “What do I include in my Ceremony Program?” I want to take few minutes today to address this for anybody else who has been contemplating the same question. Regardless of what type of ceremony you will be having, there are (4) components that are typically included in the program.

1. Bride & Groom’s Names, Wedding Date and Location. This is going to be the first thing your guests read on the program. It should be located on the very top of the program, or on the cover if it is a folding program.

2.  Order of the Ceremony – This should include everything from the seating of the parents, processional, readings, exchange of vows, music selections, etc. This will vary slightly depending on religion and can be determined after speaking with your officiate.

3.  A List of Ceremony Participants and the Wedding Party – This is a nice way to acknowledge everybody who participated in your wedding and will include the officiate, readers, musicians, bride & groom’s parents, maid of honor, bridesmaids, best man, groomsmen, ushers, flower girls and ring bearer.

4. Thank You – Most programs will end with a short and meaningful note from the bride and groom thanking all their guests for celebrating their special day.
Thank you

Cheers!
